Existing water tower is a significant object on site of a prospective resort - «lighthouse» of a kind, which is supposed to attract visitors. Both interior and exterior of the place aim to unfold the entire complex idea.
The structure is remarkable for its shape - vertical and aspiring upwards. We suggest developing four spaces, which are closely connected, yet different. Those spaces are: meet and greet zone, gallery zone (dedicated to history of the place), conference room and demonstrative hall - sort of a tower observation deck. The spaces extend one another, and the whole place shall be considred indivisible.
Our concept is to provide visitors with emotional joy, when one ascends the stairs to the highest and crucial zone of the tower - the observing deck. Main idea: way from down the earth and up to the sky is one’s way towards clarity of knowledge and significance.
We combine several elements: external constructivist image of the tower, unique natural surrounding, heathen symbols and emotions of contemplation and unity. This goes along with the idea of the resort complex and allows visitors to get in touch with the culture and particular features of the place.
MEET AND GREET ZONE
This level stands for earth. Wood encloses and invites inside, a very cozy space with warm lightning and heathen symbols.
GALLERY / HISTORY OF THE PLACE
A path of enlightenment, which goes up. Wooden partitions gradually vanish in light and airy materials. Glazing and illuminated perforated panels take their place.
CONFERENCE ROOM / LOUNGE ZONE
A visitor begins to consider something special above. This feeling is supported by surrounding interior effects - play of light and reflections that the mirrored panels bring.
OBSERVATION DESK
Unity and contemplation of a landscape behind the panoramic windows. The space is filled with clarity of meaning and action, it brings one to a state of confidence and harmony. This level symbolises the sky.
